Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- prior experience in planning and coordinating group activities
- previous work experience with senior citizens preferred
- proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
- basic knowledge of Print Shop and Adobe Acrobat
- valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles safely
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- adherence to HIPAA and compliance standards
- commitment to organizational mission and values
- ability to assist residents with physical limitations
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- experience planning, coordinating, and implementing group activities
- experience working with senior citizen population preferred
- proficiency in basic MS Excel and PowerPoint
- intermediate MS Word and Outlook skills
- basic knowledge of Print Shop and Adobe Acrobat
- competent internet skills
- strong communication and organizational abilities
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- leadership experience in supervising staff
- ability to manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently
Job Duties
- Supports the mission and values of Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey
- encourages, participates and actively contributes to the achievement of organizational goals
- complies with organizational policies, procedures and programs
- participates as a team member by maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude with co-workers and supervisors
- communicates and interacts with residents and other staff members in a professional and polite manner
- supervises full-time driver and part-time driver, including work schedule and wage management
- hires and evaluates all transportation staff
- plans, evaluates, and coordinates activities, programs, classes, special events, and trips for Independent Living residents
- coordinates and plans joint activities and events with other staff members from other departments
- coordinates and plans activities with outside organizations, committees, volunteers and clubs
- maintains financial records of department expenditures and produces financial reports when needed
- meets with the Activity Committee monthly for resident input and feedback
- creates program flyers and assists in production of monthly newsletter
- assists residents and non-residents with arrangement of activities and meetings
- assists residents with acclimation to community and available resources
- assists drivers with transportation if necessary
- operates all Crane’s Mill vehicles safely according to driver safety policies
- safely assists residents with physical limitations entering and exiting vehicles
- completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and adheres to ethics and compliance policies
- follows all local, state and federal regulations
- performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
