Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in medical education or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of medical licensure requirements, immigration policies, ACGME accreditation and institutional requirements
  • Ability to coordinate credentialing for residents including off-site rotations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency with administrative software and databases
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to work within a faith-based healthcare environment

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Knowledge of medical licensure requirements and accreditation standards
  • Experience with program databases and administrative record-keeping
  • Ability to coordinate recruitment and orientation activities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Familiarity with ACGME accreditation process
  • Proficiency in handling confidential information

Job Duties

  • Manages and coordinates the daily operations and logistics for specific residency program
  • Provides ongoing support for all residents including distribution of pagers, badges, meal tickets, computer support
  • Responsible for the necessary administrative paperwork, records, and complex filing systems to support the program
  • Maintains accurate records of residents and reports through the Intern Resident Information System to CMS
  • Coordinates credentialing requirements of all initial appointments including affiliated institutions for off-site and elective rotations
  • Evaluates applications for completeness, schedules interviews and corresponds with applicants
  • Plans, organizes and schedules program specific new resident orientation
  • Maintains compliance with accreditation requirements of governing agencies
  • Coordinates functions of the program including faculty development activities and residency social events
  • Coordinates preparation for accreditation site visits for the residency program
  • Coordinates Grand Rounds including scheduling and arranging speakers
  • Serves as liaison with other departments and affiliated institutions
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested
