Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and over 75 pounds with assistance
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • legal authorization to work in the United States
  • adherence to Marriott International’s code of conduct and policies

Job Duties

  • Greet and escort guests to rooms
  • open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property
  • inform guests of property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local areas of interest
  • identify and explain room features (e.g., use of room key, mini-bar, ice and vending areas, in-room safe, valet laundry services)
  • transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and designated bell area
  • assist with luggage storage and retrieval
  • assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles, including loading and unloading luggage
  • supply guests with directions
  • arrange transportation for guests/visitors and record advance transportation requests
  • communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors
  • follow company policies and procedures and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager
  • maintain awareness of undesirable persons on premises
  • ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • welcome and acknowledge guests and anticipate and address service needs
  • assist individuals with disabilities
  • thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • speak clearly and professionally and answer telephones using proper etiquette
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • comply with quality assurance standards
  • read and verify information in various formats
  • move at required speeds (run, walk, jog)
  • stand, sit, or walk for entire shifts
  • move, lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently and over 75 pounds with assistance
  • navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned
