Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 2 years hotel sales experience
- valid driver’s license
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- organizational and presentation skills
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- at least 2 years of previous hotel sales experience
- valid driver’s license for the applicable state
- developed verbal and written communication skills to frequently negotiate convince sell and influence managerial personnel hotel guests and/or corporate clients
- experience with professional selling skills such as opening probing supporting closing desired
- proficiency in general computer knowledge especially Microsoft Office products
- ability to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
- strong organization and presentation skills
Job Duties
- Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals as well as solicitation call goals while training and mentoring others
- proactively conduct solicitation calls conduct sales tours and entertain clients specific to leisure SMERF business travel and or groups as applicable by property
- monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment
- approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner
- adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality’s established regulations company standards sales standards and sales metrics related
- develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the hotel and applicable departments
- maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations as applicable
- assist in implementing and or participating in special promotions relating to direct sales segments such as sales blitzes etc
- attend daily weekly monthly meetings and any other functions required by management
- perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales
- access to back of house areas of the hotel and sensitive information
- interact and occasionally have unsupervised contact with guests and or colleagues
- access and control to sensitive areas in the hotel premises including the Hotel Safe Master Keys and or guestrooms Storage Liquor Room and secured file cabinets
- drive safely on behalf of the company for business reasons
- maintain a high level of trust and responsibility
- represent the company with certain level of reputation and good character as well as exercise sound judgement
