Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in housekeeping or cleaning
- ability to multi-task and be detail oriented
- physical activities include kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, walking, talking, seeing, hearing, handling, feeling, reaching, stretching, grasping
- willingness and ability to work varied schedules including evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends
- must maintain a professional image including a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- regular attendance in accordance with company standards
- ability to lift bedspreads weighing up to 40 lbs
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a cleaning capacity, preferably housekeeping in hotels
- ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail
- strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members
- physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including bending, stooping, and lifting
- ability to maintain confidentiality and security of guest rooms
- professional appearance and courteous customer service skills
- willingness to work varied shifts including evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends
Job Duties
- Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping
- strip and make beds, changing bed linens which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 40 lbs, with a total number of 15-18 rooms cleaned per each full-time shift (averages 30 minutes per each guestroom)
- replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room
- push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash
- use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements to ensure all chemicals are correctly labeled
- report any maintenance deficiencies promptly
- handle guest requests or complaints courteously and efficiently
