Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of general office experience preferred
  • Keyboarding skills required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to operate standard office machines preferred
  • Ability to perform routine filing and record-keeping tasks preferred
  • Ability to work a 10-month or 12-month schedule as preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check

Job Duties

  • Establish a welcoming atmosphere by greeting students, visitors, and university employees
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, and route calls according to office procedures
  • Schedule and maintain appointment calendars for hall directors or departmental employees
  • Perform basic clerical tasks including keyboarding and computer data entry
  • Distribute incoming mail and maintain accurate mailbox designations
  • File documents and operate standard office equipment
  • Maintain accurate building records and perform routine filing and record-keeping tasks
