Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in customer service or call center environment preferred
  • Must possess a working PC or laptop with minimum technical specifications including Windows 11 64-bit, i5 or Ryzen 5 processor, 8GB RAM, 100GB free hard drive space
  • High speed internet access with minimum 10 Mbps speed
  • Private workspace with door separation
  • Ability to work from home within 50 miles of designated Omni property or at the Omaha reservation center
  • Must download and use required software such as Microsoft Teams, Okta Verify, and Microsoft Authenticator
  • Must not have wireless internet or wireless peripherals during shifts
  • Must adhere to company confidentiality and security guidelines
  • Regular availability for shifts including nights and weekends
  • Must maintain excellent phone etiquette and communication standards
  • Comfortable following detailed procedures and policies
  • Ability to provide required workspace and equipment documentation
  • Exclusion of certain locations such as Illinois, Washington DC, California, New York, and New Jersey for remote work

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrate passion for the hotel and resort business
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Receptive to coaching from management with willingness to adapt
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Take initiative and be a self-starter
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimum supervision and effectively as part of a team
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Possess advanced verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to independently resolve customer inquiries or problems
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Intermediate experience with basic computer programs such as MS Office and Outlook
  • Must have a working PC or laptop meeting technical specifications
  • Prior call center experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Process customer inquiries to ensure complete guest satisfaction by handling requests in a courteous, timely, professional and efficient manner, utilizing sales and empowerment skills
  • Create an exceptional first impression of the brand and drive reservation sales by connecting with callers and uncovering needs
  • Handle sales calls professionally and make, adjust, or cancel reservations in the system
  • Assist guests with enrollment in the Select Guest loyalty program according to guidelines
  • Respond professionally and effectively to all inquiries
  • Perform all operating functions of the telephone and computer systems
  • Verify and apply understanding of all current company policies and procedures when processing reservations
  • Review reference materials, SOPs, and information bulletins
  • Consult with Help Desk as needed to assist guests and improve the process
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the reservations process, policies, and selling strategies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
