Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • One to three years related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum one to three years experience in industrial retail inside sales customer service or inventory control
  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements
  • Minimum one year of Class A commercial vehicle operation experience
  • Clean and safe driving record with no at-fault accidents or serious moving violations in past three years
  • Ability to speak and read English well enough to perform job safely and effectively
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Basic computer skills including Windows applications and Google Suite
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety data sheets
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations for commercial drivers
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime
  • Ability to operate in a drug-free workplace
  • DOT pre-employment and random drug testing applies

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • One to three years of experience in industrial retail inside sales customer service or inventory control related positions
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements
  • Minimum one year of Class A commercial vehicle operation experience
  • Clean and safe driving record with no at-fault accidents or serious moving violations in past three years
  • Ability to speak and read English well enough to perform job safely and effectively
  • Basic computer skills including Windows applications and Google Suite
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety data sheets
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations for commercial drivers
  • Experience operating a forklift preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP and PROS software functionalities preferred

Job Duties

  • Sell industrial medical and specialty gases welding equipment power and hand tools and other supplies to customers
  • Advise customers on tools hardware and materials needed and procedures to follow to complete tasks customers wish to perform
  • Operate commercial motor vehicle to deliver atmospheric flammable industrial gases and hardgoods products safely and efficiently
  • Complete all required branch paperwork accurately including coding costing and pricing
  • Perform order entry process cash and charge orders and assist with reconciliation of cash and bank deposits
  • Communicate with customers sales staff store managers and others regarding cost ordering and delivery times
  • Obtain or transfer merchandise requested by customers
  • Answer customer questions concerning location price and use of merchandise
  • Maintain neat clean and professional personal appearance
  • Stock shelves warehouse counters and tables with merchandise and maintain showroom displays
  • Load and unload service trucks with gas cylinders containers and supplies as directed
  • Make timely deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure all documents required to move and deliver load are accurate and available
  • Inspect vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions before and after each delivery
  • Comply with all company policies procedures and DOT regulations
  • Perform any reasonable work request within qualifications
