Job Requirements

  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Certified in Defensive Driving Training within six months of hire date
  • Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Spanish speaking preferred
  • Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening evaluation

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Considerable knowledge of methods, techniques, and philosophies of developing, operating and marketing rentals and events
  • Knowledge of liability issues and injury prevention
  • Knowledge of community and public relations
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes and general accounting
  • Proficiency with personal computers and various software applications including spreadsheets and word processing
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, volunteers, and the public

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate Community Center, Old Gym, and Covington Home rentals ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and safety protocols are implemented
  • Monitor rental activities to ensure guest satisfaction and retention
  • Perform frequent lifting and physical labor including daily setup and breakdown of tables and chairs
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends to oversee events
  • Assist in planning and execution of special events for Washington City from pre-production through post-production
  • Make recommendations for improving rental offerings and optimizing facility use
  • Address complaints, concerns, and issues raised by the public offering solutions or recommendations
  • Track rental contracts, analyze issues and propose alternative solutions
  • Oversee rental equipment inventory, ordering replacements and ensuring safety checks
