Job Requirements

  • ability to obtain a secret clearance
  • experience instructing large groups of low and high ranking personnel in a military environment
  • experience with commercial off the shelf multi-rotor and fixed wing aircraft including hobbyist UAS
  • must be able to obtain a certified FAA UAS PART 107 Pilot License
  • experience with all remotely piloted vehicles including land, air, and sea platforms and ability to design and fabricate with limited instructions or pre-built kits
  • ability to research emerging remotely piloted vehicle technologies and describe their advantages and impact to DoD capabilities
  • proficient in utilizing standard MS Office applications and intelligence related automation
  • ability to perform independently and interact with military units and organizations
  • ability to communicate and function effectively in a team environment
  • junior level requires a BA/BS with 0-3 years experience or associate degree plus 4 years experience or no degree plus 6 years experience
  • journeyman level requires a BA/BS with 3-10 years experience or associate degree plus 4 years to base 3-10 years experience or no degree plus 6 years to base 3-10 years experience

Job Qualifications

  • ba/bs degree or equivalent experience
  • ability to obtain a certified FAA UAS PART 107 Pilot License
  • experience instructing personnel in a military environment
  • experience with commercial off the shelf multi-rotor and fixed wing aircraft
  • proficiency in MS Office and intelligence related automation
  • ability to research emerging RPV technologies
  • ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
  • preferred experience with Group 2+ and 3 UAS platforms
  • manned pilot experience
  • ability to read and interpret aeronautical charts
  • experience communicating with air traffic control
  • knowledge of UAS components and flight control software

Job Duties

  • operate commercial off the shelf remotely piloted vehicles, ground stations, and payloads
  • gather intelligence for mission planning
  • build and fabricate commercial off the shelf remote controlled vehicles
  • configure flight controllers for waypoint missions
  • research emerging remotely piloted vehicle technologies and describe their advantages and impact
  • communicate and function effectively in a team environment
  • perform independently while interacting with other organizations and military units
