Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in a related role
- Typing speed of 40 words per minute with 90 percent accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret technical materials
- Clear verbal communication skills
- Successful completion of knowledge and skills tests with a minimum score of 70 percent
- Ability to observe certified RPOs and receive on-the-job training
- Completion of simulation laboratory certification within 120 days
- Ability to adhere to a drug free workplace
- Ability to pass government background check
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in a comparable position
- Ability to type 40 wpm with 90 percent accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
- Ability to speak clearly
- Ability to complete knowledge and skills tests for each area or sector to be supported
- Previous experience working on a multi-disciplinary team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good team building skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with current technology tools including tablets, notebooks, applications
- Ability to adhere to a drug free workplace policy
- Ability to pass background checks and government clearance requirements
Job Duties
- Receives voice commands from students
- Responds to students via the VCS utilizing proper phraseology
- Inputs proper entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions
- Translates displayed information into appropriate ATC terminology
- Observes and emulates pilot and ATC communications and actions during training simulations
- Ensures accurate and timely communication in simulated training sessions
- Maintains effective interaction with students and training supervisors
