Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret materials such as diagrams and manuals
  • Ability to speak clearly and be understood
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
  • Willingness to complete required certifications
  • Availability to work full-time during day shift
  • Must work on-site in Philadelphia, PA

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
  • Clear oral communication skills
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of FAA Order JO 7110.65 is desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with technology tools such as tablets and notebooks
  • Understanding of pilot-controller communications or phraseology is desired

Job Duties

  • Operate simulated radar display and voice communication system to simulate pilot and controller interactions
  • Respond to student controllers’ voice commands using correct air traffic control phraseology
  • Input accurate commands into automated systems to simulate pilot actions during training exercises
  • Translate radar and system information into appropriate air traffic control terminology
  • Participate in classroom and lab certification programs to demonstrate proficiency
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including instructors, multimedia developers, and subject matter experts
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with students and team members during simulation exercises
