Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret materials such as diagrams and manuals
  • Ability to speak clearly and be understood
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

  • Clear and understandable verbal communication skills

  • Experience in multidisciplinary team environments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with FAA Order JO 7110.65 preferred
  • Basic knowledge of pilot/controller communication phraseology

Job Duties

  • Operate simulated radar and voice communication systems to emulate pilot and remote ATC actions during training exercises
  • Receive and interpret voice commands from air traffic control students
  • Input accurate pilot responses into the automated training system
  • Translate displayed information into proper air traffic control terminology
  • Respond to air traffic controller students using correct voice communication system phraseology
  • Complete required classroom and laboratory certifications on airspace procedures and remote pilot operator functions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including multimedia developers and instructors to support training effectiveness
