Job Requirements

  • US citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret materials such as diagrams and manuals
  • Clear and understandable speech
  • Willingness to complete required classroom and lab certifications
  • Ability to work part-time and remotely as needed
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
  • Clear oral communication skills
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams is preferred
  • Certification or experience in ATC Tower, TRACON, or En Route simulation labs is desirable but not required
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with FAAO JO 7110.65 is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Basic knowledge of current technological tools such as tablets and notebooks
  • Understanding or experience with pilot/controller communications or phraseology is beneficial

Job Duties

  • Operate simulated radar and voice communication systems to emulate pilot and controller actions during training
  • Respond accurately to student voice commands using proper air traffic control phraseology
  • Input simulated pilot actions into automated training systems
  • Translate displayed information into appropriate air traffic control terminology
  • Complete mandatory classroom and lab certifications related to airspace and procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including multimedia developers, quality assurance, instruction system designers, subject matter experts, and instructors
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with students and other team members
