- clear verbal communication skills
- experience working in multidisciplinary teams
- experience or certification in atc tower, tracon, or en route simulation labs desired
- effective oral and written communication skills
- working knowledge of the FAAO JO 7110.65 desired
- effective team building skills
- proficiency in MS Office suite
- basic familiarity with current technology tools such as tablets and applications
- basic knowledge or experience with pilot-controller communications or phraseology
Job Duties
- operate simulated radar display and voice communication systems to simulate pilot actions during training exercises
- respond to voice commands from air traffic control students
- input accurate data into automated systems to replicate pilot responses
- translate displayed simulator information into appropriate air traffic control terminology
- communicate with students using proper phraseology via the voice communication system
- complete required certifications including classroom and lab training
- collaborate with multidisciplinary teams supporting air traffic controller training
