Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret materials such as diagrams and manuals
  • Ability to speak clearly and be understood
  • US citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
  • Willingness to complete required certifications
  • No travel required
  • Availability to work full-time day shift at Chicago ATCT or MDW locations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
  • Clear and effective verbal communication skills
  • US citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • Experience in multidisciplinary team environments
  • Certification or experience in ATC simulation labs preferred
  • Working knowledge of FAAO JO 7110.65 preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with pilot/controller communications or phraseology

Job Duties

  • Operate simulated radar display and voice communication systems to simulate pilot actions
  • Respond to air traffic controller trainee commands with proper phraseology
  • Input accurate flight data into automated systems during training exercises
  • Translate displayed simulation information into appropriate air traffic control terminology
  • Complete required classroom and lab certifications for simulation operation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including instructors and subject matter experts
  • Maintain clear and effective communication to ensure realistic training scenarios
