Job Requirements

  • US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
  • Clear verbal communication skills

  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with FAAO JO 7110.65 strongly desired
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of current technology tools
  • Basic familiarity with pilot-controller communications and phraseology

Job Duties

  • Operate simulated radar display and voice communication systems to emulate pilot actions and communications
  • Receive and interpret voice commands from air traffic controller trainees
  • Input appropriate responses into automated training systems to simulate pilot behavior
  • Translate displayed simulation information into correct air traffic control terminology
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with trainees using standardized phraseology
  • Complete required classroom and lab certifications demonstrating proficiency as a Remote Pilot Operator
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including multimedia developers and instructors to improve training exercises
