- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
- Clear and understandable spoken communication
- US citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
Job Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
- Clear verbal communication skills
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
- Effective oral and written communication
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with FAAO JO 7110.65 is strongly desired but not required
- Experience or certification in ATC tower, TRACON, or en route simulation labs is desired but not mandatory
- Basic knowledge of pilot-controller communications and phraseology
Job Duties
- Operate simulated radar display and voice communication system to mimic pilot and ATC facility actions
- Receive and respond to voice commands from student air traffic controllers
- Input accurate data into automated systems to simulate pilot behavior
- Translate displayed information into correct air traffic control terminology
- Communicate clearly using proper ATC phraseology via voice communication system
- Complete classroom and lab certifications for proficiency as a Remote Pilot Operator
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including multimedia developers and instructors
