Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
  • Clear and understandable spoken communication
  • US citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
  • Clear verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with FAAO JO 7110.65 is strongly desired but not required
  • Experience or certification in ATC tower, TRACON, or en route simulation labs is desired but not mandatory
  • Basic knowledge of pilot-controller communications and phraseology

Job Duties

  • Operate simulated radar display and voice communication system to mimic pilot and ATC facility actions
  • Receive and respond to voice commands from student air traffic controllers
  • Input accurate data into automated systems to simulate pilot behavior
  • Translate displayed information into correct air traffic control terminology
  • Communicate clearly using proper ATC phraseology via voice communication system
  • Complete classroom and lab certifications for proficiency as a Remote Pilot Operator
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including multimedia developers and instructors
