Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret materials such as diagrams and manuals
  • Ability to speak clearly and be understood
  • US citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance

  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
  • Clear verbal communication skills
  • US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams preferred
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with FAA JO 7110.65 preferred
  • Basic knowledge of pilot-controller communication and phraseology
  • Experience in ATC simulation labs strongly desired but not required

Job Duties

  • Operate simulated radar displays and voice communication systems to act as pilots and controllers during training
  • Respond to voice commands from student controllers using proper ATC phraseology
  • Input accurate data into automated systems to simulate pilot actions
  • Translate displayed simulation information into appropriate air traffic control terminology
  • Participate in certification training including classroom tests and lab performance
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including instructors, developers, and subject matter experts
  • Maintain clear and professional communication throughout training exercises
