Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- minimum one year of relevant commercial housekeeping experience
- pass all pre-employment contract requirements including drug test, physical and fit for duty assessment, and hearing test
- able to work as part of a team
- able to make independent decisions
- able to stand for extended periods (12 hours)
- able to live in dormitory-style settings
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- adhere to safety guidelines set by company and client
- willingness to travel to remote locations by plane or bus
- physically capable of lifting up to 35 lbs, performing stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and other physical activities
- employees responsible for travel expenses to pre-employment testing if located outside designated areas
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- at least one year experience with commercial cleaning equipment and industrial cleaning processes
- at least one year experience in commercial housekeeping
- ability to cooperate and work as part of a team
- ability to make decisions with little to no supervision
- ability to stand for 12 hours per shift
- ability to live in dormitory-style settings
- ability to speak, understand, read and write English
- compliance with all company and client safety guidelines and regulations
Job Duties
- Clean, sweep, vacuum, mop, or restock various indoor and outdoor areas
- sweep, mop, scrub, strip, extract, wax, buff, vacuum all types of floors
- dust both low and high areas
- wipe down or clean various surfaces
- use appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks
- remove and properly dispose of discarded materials
- compact trash as needed
- remove and transport trash to appropriate disposal areas
- change light bulbs and perform very light facility maintenance
- keep building entryways free of snow and debris
- operate a vehicle to work at remote locations
- perform special duties such as laundry and scheduled cleaning tasks
- act as night or day janitor as assigned
- notify supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not met
- perform other duties pertinent to department success
