Job Requirements
- College degree preferred
- one year supervisory experience preferred including dementia care, hiring, coaching, counseling, and performance management
- college degree or supervisory experience may be required by state or provincial law
- any additional state or provincial specific requirements
- proficiency in computer skills and Sunrise applications
- review and sign driver job description if driving Sunrise vehicle
- ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours

Job Duties
- Plan, organize, develop, and lead the overall operation of the reminiscence neighborhood in compliance with laws and Sunrise standards
- champion the resident centered model and reminiscence programming
- partner with Activities and Volunteer Coordinator to ensure appropriate activities and care manager engagement
- design, schedule, and facilitate reminiscence programs focusing on life skills and dementia-appropriate activities
- collaborate with Resident Care Director to address clinical needs
- review resident preferences and conduct family meetings
- facilitate individualized service plans and daily assignments
- support clinical assessments for care level determination
- plan family events and services
- exercise discretion and judgment in resident care
- coordinate with dining services for resident needs
- monitor resident condition changes and communicate with families
- establish relationships with Alzheimer’s Association and community groups
- facilitate family support meetings
- ensure compliance with clinical indicators
- ensure regulatory compliance and develop corrective plans
- maintain knowledge of laws and regulations
- promote occupational health and safety
- assist in product and service presentations
- manage department budget and expenses
- coordinate staff economies and cross training
- recruit, hire, supervise, train, coach, and discipline team members
- ensure compliance with required paperwork and training
- provide continuing education
- lead team engagement initiatives
- manage staffing, scheduling, and payroll accuracy
- conduct performance appraisals and accountability
- attend meetings and professional development
- complete other duties as assigned
