Job Requirements
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications
- One year supervisory experience preferred including experience in dementia care and team management
- College degree preferred
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to delegate assignments based on skills and roles
- Possess written and verbal communication skills
- Competent in organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Meet any additional state or provincial specific requirements
- Must pass pre-employment drug test and physical evaluation

Job Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- One year supervisory experience preferred, including dementia care, hiring, coaching, counseling, and performance management
- College degree or supervisory/management experience as may be required by state/provincial law
- Additional state or provincial requirements as applicable
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Job Duties
- Plan, organize, develop, and lead the overall operation of the reminiscence neighborhood in accordance with laws and Sunrise standards
- Champion the quality delivery of the Resident Centered model
- Act as the community champion in reminiscence programming and activities
- Partner with the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator to ensure a variety of appropriate and individualized activities
- Design, schedule, and facilitate reminiscence programs incorporating Life Skills with a focus on dementia-appropriate activities
- Partner with the Resident Care Director to ensure clinical needs are addressed
- Review resident preferences prior to move-in and schedule Family Meetings to discuss Resident Profiles
- Facilitate ISP and Daily Assignment Sheet development to ensure service excellence
- Support assessment processes to determine levels of care and staffing
- Oversee planning for family events and services
- Exercise discretion in evaluating resident needs
- Partner with dining services for individualized resident needs
- Understand and take appropriate action on resident condition changes including family communication
- Review clinical alerts
- Establish relationships with local Alzheimer’s Association chapters or similar organizations
- Facilitate educational support and arrange community guest speakers for families
- Ensure monthly family support group meetings are planned and facilitated
- Partner with RCD to maintain Sunrise clinical indicators below benchmarks in restraint-free environment, weight management, anti-psychotics, and behavior management
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and Sunrise standards related to resident care
- Develop and implement plans to correct compliance deficiencies
- Maintain knowledge of evolving laws and regulations
- Promote occupational health and safety compliance
- Practice safety procedures including PPE and Lockout Tagout
- Assist in presenting Sunrise’s products and services
- Manage department budget including labor expenses
- Review financial statements and implement corrective actions
- Process monthly expenses timely
- Coordinate staff economies and cross-training
- Understand costs associated with care programs
- Manage recruiting, hiring, supervising, training, coaching, and disciplining staff
- Ensure team member paperwork completion
- Participate in Sunrise University Training
- Provide monthly continuing education
- Ensure regulatory compliance through supervision
- Lead team member engagement and improvement planning
- Complete staffing and scheduling per guidelines
- Review timekeeping practices
- Conduct performance appraisals and hold team accountable
- Attend regular meetings
- Stay current with professional development
- Maintain compliance in required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
