Job Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • supervisory experience including dementia care preferred
  • ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours
  • proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and specialized software
  • meet additional state or provincial regulations as applicable
  • willingness to comply with all pre-employment tests and health screenings
  • valid driver certification if applicable

  • proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, develop, and lead reminiscence neighborhood operations
  • champion resident centered care model
  • act as community champion in reminiscence programming
  • partner with activities and volunteer coordinator for individualized activities
  • design and facilitate reminiscence programs focusing on dementia appropriate activities
  • partner with resident care director for clinical needs
  • schedule family meetings and review resident preferences
  • facilitate individualized service plan development
  • support resident care director in assessment processes
  • oversee family event planning
  • exercise discretion in resident care decision-making
  • partner with dining coordinator for resident meal preferences
  • monitor resident condition changes and communicate with families
  • review clinical alerts for resident health changes
  • establish cooperative relationships with local Alzheimer’s associations
  • facilitate educational support and family support group meetings
  • ensure clinical indicators meet or exceed benchmarks
  • ensure regulatory compliance with laws and Sunrise standards
  • develop corrective action plans for compliance deficiencies
  • maintain knowledge of evolving laws and regulations
  • promote occupational health and safety compliance
  • practice safety procedures consistently
  • assist in marketing and presenting Sunrise services
  • manage departmental budget including labor and expenses
  • review and address financial statement variances
  • submit timely expense and budget reports
  • coordinate staff scheduling and cross-training
  • understand resident care program costs
  • recruit, hire, train, supervise, and discipline team members
  • ensure compliance with team member paperwork
  • participate in training programs
  • provide ongoing education to team
  • ensure team member regulatory compliance
  • lead team engagement efforts
  • manage staffing and scheduling
  • review timekeeping and payroll accuracy
  • conduct performance appraisals
  • enforce accountability and documentation
  • attend regular meetings
  • maintain professional development
  • complete required training compliance
  • perform other duties as assigned
