Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preference to candidates with customs brokerage experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficient basic math skills
- Ability to type at least 45 alphanumeric words per minute with minimal mistakes
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to focus on computer screen and/or written materials for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Occasional overtime, holiday and/or weekend work will be required
- Must work under deadlines and related stresses in a timely and efficient manner
- Must be able to professionally handle situations as they arise

- Knowledge of PC’s and related software, and maintenance and retrieval of documents

- Ability to work at a fast pace and multi-task while maintaining accuracy
Job Duties
- Data entry and the production of entry summaries, invoices, reports and audit files
- Communicate shipping documentation issues to Import Analyst/Release, or Supervisor as appropriate
- Send emails to get documents or to get clarification about documents
- Select proper tariff classification from customer records
- Apply additional tariff classification when stipulated in customer records
- Confirm releases and contact customer when there are issues
- Recognize and apply duty reduction programs such as NAFTA or GSP
- Set up file documents for splitting (entry & bill assemble process)
- Complete daily status reports as necessary
- Support bridge locations and perform all necessary processes of a Release Agent
- Other duties as assigned
