Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in release management or software deployment
- Proven experience working in mainframe and distributed computing environments
- Familiarity with change management and compliance procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Job Qualifications
- Experience with mainframe SCM tools such as Broadcom (CA) Endevor
- Familiarity with TSO/ISPF environments
- Strong understanding of mainframe ecosystem including CICS, DB2, and COBOL processes
- Knowledge of distributed deployment techniques such as Blue/Green deployments
- Proficiency with DevOps tools including Jenkins, Jira, and Service Now
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
Job Duties
- Coordinates release schedules between development, testing, operations, and centralized release management teams
- Uses software change management tools to control and track all code
- Builds and executes release packages and troubleshoots any issues
- Enforces strict change management and compliance procedures
- Assists in obtaining signoffs
- Conducts meetings to review release status and provides continuous updates to management
- Creates Change requests in Service Now
- Troubleshoots pre-deployment and deployment failures
- Runs batch reports from production error logs and gathers validation statuses until release completion
