Job Requirements
- 3-4 years experience in similar pastry kitchen or hotel operation
- High school education or equivalent, cooking school or culinary institute education preferred
- Ability to run day-to-day operation of assigned pastry station
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Legal work authorization in the United States
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school education, cooking school or culinary institute education preferred
- 3-4 years of experience in similar pastry kitchen or hotel operation
- Strong passion for pastry and baking
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Genuine, caring, and compassionate individual with a passion for hospitality
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with kitchen management
- Proficiency in English
Job Duties
- Run the day to day operation of assigned station in the pastry shop
- Check with other staff to make sure their stations are ready and prepared beyond estimated needs
- Complete mise en place and set up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service
- Act as a liaison between line-staff and kitchen management to ensure pastry staff is operating at expected level set by resort culinary management
- Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems
- control food waste, loss and usage per policies
- Return all food items not used to designated storage
- Set up and complete any items in preparation for daily operations and set up stations
- Effectively operate, maintain, and properly clean pastry equipment
