Job Requirements

  • At least two years of Level 3 or 4 NICU experience
  • valid RN license
  • basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and electronic medical documentation
  • knowledge of nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines
  • proficiency in medical terminology and patient care procedures
  • exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • ability to work a full-time night shift

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • registered nurse (RN) license
  • specialized field of study in nursing
  • BLS certification obtained or acquired within 30 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs
  • create, implement, and evaluate care plans
  • adjust plans to reach desired outcomes
  • build relationships and manage discomfort in therapeutic connections with patients and families
  • educate patients, families, nurses, and community members
  • assess and document learning needs regularly
  • collaborate with colleagues and community to create care plans
  • delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly
  • employ various problem-solving strategies with patients, families, and staff
  • recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery
  • achieve goals through teamwork and contribute to peers' development
