Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- One year of experience in an acute care medical/surgical setting
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas or multi-state compact license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to work full-time in day surgery
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- One year of experience in an acute care medical/surgical setting
- Day Surgery/pre-operative experience preferred
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas or multi-state compact license with commitment to obtain Texas RN license within 90 days of hire
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
Job Duties
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients admitted for surgical or diagnostic procedures in the Day Surgery Unit
- Consistently applying the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients
- Collaborating with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes
- Providing communication, confidence, and professionalism through active engagement in unit and organizational activities
- Demonstrating teamwork, adaptability, and serving as a resource to the patient care team
- Being accountable for delivering quality nursing care services and promoting a positive image of nursing
