Job Requirements

  • English language proficiency
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by an accrediting agency
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse
  • Ability to participate in a pre-employment physical examination or evaluation
  • Compliance with VA nursing and qualification standards
  • Eligibility for employment within a federal healthcare facility

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted nursing registration
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Demonstrated leadership in nursing processes
  • Experience with clinical information systems and software
  • Preferred master’s degree in nursing from an NLN accredited program
  • Four years of successful clinical nursing practice

Job Duties

  • Serve as a resource for clinical information and BCMA technology
  • Lead assessment, planning, and organization of CI and BCMA systems
  • Implement and evaluate CI systems to optimize patient care
  • Educate clinical staff on BCMA usage and best practices
  • Analyze and consult on improvement opportunities for medication administration processes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for system enhancements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to CI and BCMA systems
