Job Requirements

  • 10+ years in club management or related field in food and beverage industry
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Food Handlers Certificate, Alcohol Safety, STAR Service Certification, STAR Trainer Certification, TABC Certification, and CPR Certification preferred
  • Multi-unit food and management experience
  • Experience managing million to multi-million-dollar business operations
  • Ability to handle highly confidential material such as member and employee data
  • Service STAR Training and Alcohol Management expertise
  • Computer literacy required with spreadsheet knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to be a strong leader

Job Duties

  • Maintain exceptional member relations and facilities by creating a quality environment through staffing, menu development, programming, service operations, and maintenance
  • Develop aggressive food and beverage sales, marketing and net revenue plans and direct successful implementation, following established Invited budgeting and revenue guidelines
  • Prepare an annual financial budget and achieve these goals throughout the year through proper forecasting, cost controls, labor management and revenue generating programs
  • Advocate and act as an ambassador of ClubLearn online service training and understand the critical role of membership and exceeding expectations
  • Identify opportunities for member events and food services that satisfy ongoing member needs and implement to achieve revenue objectives
  • Ensure all expense control systems are in place with close monitoring of all department expenses including revenue to payroll ratio
  • Work with member committees and boards to develop and implement member activities and events
  • Communicate with members on both group and individual basis to ensure the clubs exceed their expectations
  • Collaborate with SVP, Vice President of Membership, RVPs of Agronomy, Regional Director of Golf, RVP Event Sales, and Marketing to provide direction and input on all food and beverage operations
  • Recruit, select and develop a qualified staff of food and beverage employees to understand the relationship between value, member service and satisfaction and member retention
  • Develop employees for career advancement using performance review systems, cross training, and developmental planning
  • Hire quality employees ensuring pre-employment screening, background checks, and proper onboarding
  • Create an excellent work environment centered upon teamwork and mutual respect focused on member satisfaction and the 3 steps of service
  • Implement and execute specific training programs consistently to ensure quality service and product delivery
  • Attend and lead regional staff meetings, national food and beverage meetings, and conduct regular training sessions
  • Partner to provide the 3 steps of service including warm welcomes, magic moments, and fond farewells to all members and guests
  • Ensure service recovery programs are in place and staff are properly trained to execute them
  • Travel frequently and adapt to changing environments while managing client and board relations
  • Oversee all regional properties assisting onsite food and beverage teams with consistency, procurement, scheduling, inventory management, and labor coordination
  • Ensure food and beverage standards are met, review menus and pricing quarterly, improve product selection, and ensure compliance with mandatory beverage programs
  • Monitor Avendra purchasing standards and pricing trends while analyzing reports and creating strategies for improvement
  • Ensure department heads complete onboarding and training including food and alcohol safety
  • Monitor member survey scores to improve overall dining experience, pace of service, food quality, and menu variety
  • Maintain focus on food safety by continuing EcoSure program and managing critical violations post inspection.
