Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field
  • at least 10 years of senior leadership experience in outdoor hospitality or related sectors
  • proven track record in managing multi-property portfolios
  • experience in designing experiential guest programs
  • strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards
  • ability to manage seasonal staffing and workforce planning
  • willingness to travel frequently (50-75%) across multiple regions
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • valid driver's license
  • flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to travel and attend company events regularly

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree in hospitality, recreation management, business administration, or related field
  • 10 + years of progressive senior leadership experience in outdoor hospitality, resort, RV, marina, ski, or lifestyle hotel operations
  • proven experience in designing and executing experiential programming that enhances guest satisfaction and supports business objectives
  • expertise in seasonal workforce planning, including recruitment, training, and retention strategies for both full-time and seasonal teams
  • strong knowledge of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and best practices for outdoor recreation operations
  • exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with team members, guests, and external stakeholders
  • ability to manage multi-property operations, including budget development, financial oversight, and performance tracking
  • strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances in outdoor hospitality
  • passion for outdoor recreation, with an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the RV resort, marina, and ski industries

Job Duties

  • execute company vision and regional strategic initiatives aligned with corporate objectives
  • provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of operations for a portfolio of boutique hotels, RV resorts, marinas, and ski operations
  • develop, implement, and oversee experiential programming that enhances guest engagement and creates unique outdoor recreation experiences
  • manage seasonal staffing strategies, ensuring optimal staffing levels to support high-volume operations during peak seasons while maintaining operational efficiency during off-peak periods
  • ensure all properties adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations, maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff, particularly in outdoor recreation settings
  • collaborate with property managers, department specialists, and teams to improve operational efficiency, guest services, and overall performance
  • foster positive relationships with guests, industry partners, local government agencies, and community organizations
  • develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring profitability and sustainability of properties within the portfolio
  • ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, including environmental regulations and safety standards specific to outdoor recreation facilities
  • regularly monitor property performance, including guest satisfaction scores, financial metrics, staffing levels, and safety records
  • provide ongoing leadership development and training for property management teams to ensure excellence in guest service, safety, and operational performance
  • innovate and continuously improve upon the guest experience, leveraging feedback, trends, and operational data to enhance offerings and services
