Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, preferably with extended stay hotels
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a multi-unit environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to analyze market trends and adapt sales strategies
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% regionally and occasionally nationally
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to sit, stand, talk, and hear frequently
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and customer service orientation
  • Effective interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality management, or a related field
  • Master’s degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on extended stay accommodations
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a multi-unit environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate, inspire and motivate a team to deliver exceptional results
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively build and maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and develop innovative sales strategies to stay ahead of the competition
  • Proficiency in sales management software, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to travel 50% within the region and occasionally nationally for business meetings and industry events
  • A demonstrated passion for the hospitality industry and a customer-centric mindset to deliver outstanding service
  • The ability to engage with key partners successfully and effectively like ownership groups, associates, clients, colleagues, and the brand representatives

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets for the assigned portfolio of extended stay hotels
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the portfolio team to drive performance and ensure the achievement of individual and team goals
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, relocation companies, and other potential sources of extended stay business
  • Manage key accounts and negotiate corporate rates and contracts to drive long-term business partnerships
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats, and adjust sales strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and sales collateral to support the sales effort
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, occupancy, and average daily rate (ADR), and take corrective actions as necessary
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the extended stay hotels and build brand awareness
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless guest experiences and address any customer satisfaction concerns promptly
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management to communicate progress towards sales goals and identify areas for improvement
  • Foster a positive, sales-focused team attitude and maintain clear, efficient communication among all team members for the best overall performance of the hotels
  • Provide sales training and support to hotel sales leaders, GM, and DM teams to develop, coach and assist in the sales strategy, efforts, tools, and tactics
  • Other duties as assigned
