Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality management, or a related field
  • minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on extended stay accommodations
  • proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a multi-unit environment
  • strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate, inspire and motivate a team to deliver exceptional results
  • excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively build and maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners
  • strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and develop innovative sales strategies to stay ahead of the competition
  • proficiency in sales management software, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and Microsoft Office applications
  • willingness to travel 50% within the region and occasionally nationally for business meetings and industry events
  • ability to engage with key partners successfully and effectively like ownership groups, associates, clients, colleagues, and the brand representatives
  • frequently required to sit, stand, talk and hear
  • ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets for the assigned portfolio of extended stay hotels
  • lead, mentor, and motivate the portfolio team to drive performance and ensure the achievement of individual and team goals
  • identify and cultivate relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, relocation companies, and other potential sources of extended stay business
  • manage key accounts and negotiate corporate rates and contracts to drive long-term business partnerships
  • conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats, and adjust sales strategies accordingly
  • collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and sales collateral to support the sales effort
  • monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, occupancy, and average daily rate (ADR), and take corrective actions as necessary
  • represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the extended stay hotels and build brand awareness
  • work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless guest experiences and address any customer satisfaction concerns promptly
  • prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management to communicate progress towards sales goals and identify areas for improvement
  • foster a positive, sales-focused team attitude and maintain clear, efficient communication among all team members for the best overall performance of the hotels
  • provide sales training and support to hotel sales leaders, GM, and DM teams to develop, coach and assist in the sales strategy, efforts, tools, and tactics
  • other duties as assigned
