Job Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in safety management, occupational health, or related field
- minimum 7 years experience in safety management or similar roles
- in-depth knowledge of aviation safety and regulatory requirements preferred
- ability to travel periodically within the Americas region
- strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- authorization to work in the United States or willingness to obtain sponsorship if required
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software
- excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Job Qualifications
- previous experience in senior safety management role preferably in aviation, logistics, or high-risk operational environments
- extensive knowledge of WHS/OHS legislation and industry standards
- proven ability to develop and implement safety strategies aligned with business goals
- experience managing transformational projects and cross-functional safety initiatives
- strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- proactive and flexible mindset with passion for continuous improvement
Job Duties
- lead safety transformation across the Americas region
- manage and implement health, safety, and environmental initiatives
- develop frontline safety leadership
- translate group safety strategy into local implementation
- drive compliance and uplift safety culture across freight, airports, and engineering business units
- embed proactive risk management practices
- collaborate with third-party suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies
- influence stakeholders at all levels to deliver transformational safety outcomes
- manage multiple priorities and organizational tasks under pressure
