Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field with four years of relevant experience or ten years of direct industry experience
  • completion of OSHA 30-hour General Industry and/or Construction certification
  • HAZWOPER 40-hour certification
  • knowledge of DOT Hours of Service and Hazardous Materials Regulations
  • ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • valid driver's license with excellent driving record
  • willingness to travel 60% within the designated region
  • successful background check and drug screening
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • proficiency with fleet management and safety software

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field or equivalent industry experience
  • OSHA 30-hour General Industry and/or Construction certification
  • knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action methodologies
  • HAZWOPER 40-hour training certification
  • preferred Certified Director of Safety or Certified Safety Professional designation
  • familiarity with CFR 49 Regulations and FMCSA DOT regulations
  • ability to provide mentorship and guidance in a diverse workplace
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • reliable transportation and valid driver's license with excellent driving record
  • willingness to travel extensively
  • strong performance in fast-paced environments

Job Duties

  • Implement and oversee fleet and safety policies ensuring compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations
  • develop and enforce corrective action plans for safety compliance incidents
  • conduct comprehensive safety training programs for all employees
  • evaluate and select maintenance partners to manage equipment maintenance
  • perform regular inspections, branch visits, and safety audits
  • collaborate with branch management to cultivate a culture of safety
  • ensure compliance with hazardous materials transportation and Electronic Logging Device regulations
