Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two to five years' related experience or training
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Must maintain a weight not exceeding 250 pounds
- Must be under 70 years old
- Piloted in category for a commercial operator or military within previous 24 months
- Ability to maintain professional interpersonal relationships
- 2000 total flight hours with minimum 1500 hours in category for VFR
- 1000 hours PIC in category
- 500 hours rotor wing turbine time
- 200 hours cross-country flight time, at least 50 hours at night
- 100 hours unaided night as PIC or 50 hours unaided plus 100 hours NVG time
- 50 hours actual or hood instrument time in flight and in category
- 2500 total flight hours and 2000 hours in category for IFR
- 1000 hours PIC in category for IFR
- 500 hours cross-country flight time and 100 hours night flight time
- 75 hours actual or simulated instrument time with at least 50 hours in flight including 20 hours actual instrument conditions
- Commercial and Instrument Rating for category and class
- ATP rating if applicable
- FAA first or second class medical certificate
- Regular scheduled attendance
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with two to five years' related experience or training
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Must maintain a weight not exceeding 250 pounds and be under 70 years old
- Pilots must have flown in category for a commercial operator or military within the previous 24 months
- Must maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals and the public
- 2000 total flight hours with minimum 1500 hours in category (VFR program)
- 1000 hours PIC in category
- 500 hours rotor wing turbine time
- 200 hours cross-country flight time with at least 50 hours at night
- 100 hours unaided night as PIC or 50 hours unaided plus 100 hours NVG time
- 50 hours actual or hood instrument time in flight and in category (with adjusted requirements for RW candidates who are FW rated)
- 2500 total flight hours and 2000 hours in category for IFR program
- 1000 hours PIC in category for IFR
- 500 hours cross-country flight time and 100 hours night flight time
- 75 hours actual or simulated instrument time with at least 50 hours in flight including 20 hours actual instrument conditions in category
- Commercial and Instrument Rating for category and class of aircraft
- ATP rating meets requirement
- FAA first or second class medical certificate required
Job Duties
- Operates Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner
- Completes pre-flight inspections and verifies aircraft airworthiness
- Exercising final authority over aircraft operations and safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment
- Ensures familiarity with all aircraft and medical systems of backup aircraft and instructs medical flight teams accordingly
- Completes required flight documentation accurately
- Conducts detailed flight planning often with little notice
- Participates in company meetings, projects, and community outreach
- Performs other duties as assigned
