Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a successful pastry chef
  • Three or more years of experience in a pastry kitchen handling preparation and cooking
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative with a problem-solving approach
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques and nutrition
  • Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Expertly craft dessert menus fitting with concept and locale
  • Partner with Executive Chef to align dessert menus with overall offerings
  • Prepare detailed recipe cards to ensure consistency
  • Develop, motivate and teach pastry cooks to maintain a positive team culture
  • Communicate openly and effectively with chefs and staff
  • Maintain clean and sanitary workstations in compliance with regulations
  • Report product shortages, equipment issues or food quality concerns promptly
  • Participate in employee meetings and contribute ideas for improvement
  • Ensure guest satisfaction is the top priority in all dessert production
