Job Requirements
- proven experience as successful pastry chef
- 3+ years experience in pastry kitchen handling preparation and cooking
- strong attention to detail
- creative with problem-solving approach
- strong leadership and communication skills
- extensive knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques and nutrition
- must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- craft dessert menu fitting with concept and locale and collaborate with executive chef
- prepare detailed recipe cards to ensure consistency
- motivate, teach and maintain positive culture among pastry cooks
- communicate openly with other chefs and be receptive to feedback
- maintain clean and sanitary work station adhering to DHEC regulations
- promptly report product shortages, equipment problems or food quality issues to executive chef
- participate in employee meetings offering suggestions for improvement
- prioritize guest experience in all tasks
