Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain preferred
- at least 5 years of experience in Ocean freight business development
- proven track record with mid- to large-sized accounts
- strong negotiation and sales skills
- in-depth knowledge of Ocean freight operations and supply chain
- excellent relationship management abilities
- ability to work collaboratively across teams
Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of proven success in an Ocean freight business development position
- proven track record of securing and growing Ocean freight business with mid- to large-sized accounts
- proven ability to negotiate and consultatively sell to mid- and large-sized accounts
- build and sustain executive-level relationships
- deep understanding of global Ocean freight operations including origin/destination handling and trade compliance
- ability to design strategic end-to-end logistics solutions
- bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or supply chain preferred
Job Duties
- Identify and secure mid- to large-sized customers with significant Ocean freight volumes
- develop strategic sales plans and meet assigned sales targets
- build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers to retain customers and expand share of wallet
- provide tailored end-to-end Ocean freight solutions and guidance on export regulations and freight handling
- collaborate with internal teams to ensure service excellence and pricing competitiveness
- monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer insights to identify new opportunities
- maintain robust sales pipeline, provide accurate forecasts and timely CRM updates
- represent company at industry events and networking opportunities
