Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain preferred
  • at least 5 years of experience in Ocean freight business development
  • proven track record with mid- to large-sized accounts
  • strong negotiation and sales skills
  • in-depth knowledge of Ocean freight operations and supply chain
  • excellent relationship management abilities
  • ability to work collaboratively across teams

Job Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of proven success in an Ocean freight business development position
  • proven track record of securing and growing Ocean freight business with mid- to large-sized accounts
  • proven ability to negotiate and consultatively sell to mid- and large-sized accounts
  • build and sustain executive-level relationships
  • deep understanding of global Ocean freight operations including origin/destination handling and trade compliance
  • ability to design strategic end-to-end logistics solutions
  • bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or supply chain preferred

Job Duties

  • Identify and secure mid- to large-sized customers with significant Ocean freight volumes
  • develop strategic sales plans and meet assigned sales targets
  • build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers to retain customers and expand share of wallet
  • provide tailored end-to-end Ocean freight solutions and guidance on export regulations and freight handling
  • collaborate with internal teams to ensure service excellence and pricing competitiveness
  • monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer insights to identify new opportunities
  • maintain robust sales pipeline, provide accurate forecasts and timely CRM updates
  • represent company at industry events and networking opportunities
