Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or supply chain preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Ocean freight business development
  • Proven ability to secure and manage mid- to large-sized key accounts
  • Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Ocean freight operations and global supply chain
  • Ability to develop strategic sales plans and meet targets
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of proven success in an Ocean freight business development position
  • Proven track record of managing and growing consistent Ocean freight business with mid- to large-sized accounts
  • Strong sales and relationship expertise with the ability to negotiate and consultatively sell
  • Deep understanding of global Ocean freight operations including origin/destination handling, capacity management, Incoterms, and trade compliance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred

Job Duties

  • Identify and secure mid- to large-sized customers with significant Ocean freight volumes
  • Develop strategic sales plans and meet assigned sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers
  • Negotiate long-term agreements and service commitments
  • Provide tailored end-to-end Ocean freight solutions and expert guidance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service excellence and pricing competitiveness
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and update CRM with performance data
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities
