Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership role
- Proficiency in financial planning and budget management
- Strong leadership and people development capabilities
- Ability to maintain compliance with brand standards and operational policies
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Willingness to work in varied environments including outdoors and different hotel locations
- Ability to serve as manager on duty
- Must adhere to company grooming standards and code of ethics
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred
- Proven experience in hotel management or similar leadership role
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and forecasting
- Excellent leadership and team development skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain brand standards and enhance guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in the hospitality industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in diverse environments including indoors, outdoors and offsite
Job Duties
- Prepare annual capital, cash flow and sales and marketing plans to accurately forecast budgets and achieve required operating results
- Utilize financials to drive revenues, future profitability, and maximum return on investment
- Lead capital plans and asset management initiatives, including working with owners to maintain or improve property’s market leadership position
- Develop programs that drive improvements in team member engagement aligned with brand service behaviors
- Implement and monitor team member succession planning to ensure future bench strength
- Establish performance and development goals for team members and provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback
- Oversee salary, disciplinary or staffing/human resources-related actions in accordance with company policies
- Demonstrate brand citizenship by maintaining compliance with all required brand standards and license agreement mandates
- Drive improvement in guest satisfaction goals and collaborate with hotel team members to implement programs exceeding guest expectations
- Interact with guests to solicit feedback and build relationships
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets
- Comply with Maya Hotels grooming policy and code of ethics
- Act as public relations representative to raise awareness of hotel and brand in local community
- Develop and carry out environmentally-conscious action plans to reduce hotel’s carbon footprint
- Promote and practice safe working habits and maintain hazard reporting
- Participate in hotel recycling efforts
- Serve as manager on duty ensuring effective hotel operations
