Job Requirements
- Must have minimum of three years’ experience in an emergency or critical care setting
- Must hold current RN licensure in states served by the assigned area
- Must have EMT certification where required
- Must obtain AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP prior to flight status
- Must obtain trauma certification within six months of hire
- Must obtain advanced certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) within 12 months of hire
- Must be willing to shave facial hair if needed to fit a N95 mask
- Must possess gross and fine motor skills necessary to perform patient care activities
- Must be able to lift or move up to 150 pounds with assistance
- Must have specific vision abilities including close, distant, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ experience in an emergency or critical care setting
- Flight experience preferred
- Current RN licensure in the states served by the assigned area
- EMT certification in state(s) where required
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status
- Will obtain trauma certification within six months of hire
- Advanced certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) preferred and required within 12 months from date of hire
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
Job Duties
- Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations
- Utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients and support physicians’ orders
- Provide a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintain regular equipment and base checks, and comply with safety standards and briefings
- Collaborate and communicate effectively and professionally with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
- Share shift change information to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records
- Maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position
