Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree or certification or formal apprenticeship in culinary arts or 5+ years industry experience at Executive Chef level or higher
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior culinary education experience preferred
- Prior healthcare dining service experience preferred
- Strong culinary skills and ability to train diverse workforce
- Knowledge of nutrition and nutrient analysis
- Knowledge of quantity food production, food safety, sanitation, and finances
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong financial acumen and P&L experience
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Completion of sanitation and safety course
- Self-starter with interpersonal and analytical skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to relate professionally with clinical staff and executives
- Digital literacy with MS Office preferred
- Fluent in English
- Willing to travel 50-75% within region
- Willingness to relocate to assigned market
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle check
Job Qualifications
- Associate’s degree, certification, or formal apprenticeship in culinary arts or minimum 5 years industry experience as an Executive Chef or higher
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior culinary education experience preferred
- Experience in healthcare dining service preferred
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to train diverse teams in cooking and hospitality
- Knowledge of nutrition and interpreting nutrient analysis spreadsheets
- Knowledge of quantity food production, food safety, sanitation, and dining service program finances
- Strong supervisory, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication across multiple levels
- Strong financial acumen with P&L, budgeting, and food control experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Successful completion of approved sanitation and safety course
- Self-starter with interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Professional and positive interpersonal skills to engage clinical staff and executives
- Digital literacy with MS Office products preferred
- Fluent in English
Job Duties
- Collaborates with the Senior Executive Chef and regional operations team to establish training priorities
- Trains account, district, and division leadership on culinary hospitality concepts and HCSG systems
- Provides training to cooks on cooking techniques, food preparation, recipe adherence, and food safety
- Coaches and supports culinary employees and leadership on performance and professional development
- Supports established training programs and coordinates with Corporate Training team
- Participates in recruiting and orientation of culinary leaders, including engagement with culinary schools
- Implements and enforces HCSG policies and procedures
- Ensures compliance with operational standards, client contracts, regulations, and codes
- Works with leadership to meet financial goals through culinary program implementation and compliance
- Provides data-driven feedback on culinary program effectiveness
- Builds dining culture and supports initiatives to improve food quality and guest experience
- Evaluates service quality and prepares improvement reports
- Participates in key client meetings and service recovery processes
- Ensures workplace safety, food safety, HACCP, and sanitation programs compliance
- Supports planning and management of special events and catered functions
- Engages in regional presentations showcasing training and culinary capabilities
- Performs other assigned duties as needed
