Job Requirements

  • Must be based in Nashville area
  • bachelor’s degree preferred
  • five or more years of relevant sales experience
  • strong client development knowledge
  • skilled in program design and development
  • proven sales record
  • excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • ability to manage budgets and financial tracking
  • experience in event management or related field
  • ability to work in a hybrid work environment
  • capacity to attend client meetings and site inspections
  • availability for program support as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Five or more years of sales experience preferably in DMC, incentive travel, or event management
  • bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, business, marketing, communication or related field preferred
  • knowledge of client development including new business, lead follow up, qualifying clients, proposal presentation and closing
  • understanding of program design and development from inception through contract
  • proven ability to consistently meet sales goals
  • ability to provide solutions and resources for challenges during program development and sales
  • ability to interpret and document complex program requirements
  • ability to develop strong supplier, hotelier, and community relationships
  • negotiation skills for supplier terms on client behalf
  • professional representation at meetings, site inspections, and industry events
  • ability to read and interpret legal and financial documents
  • skills to respond to client and supplier inquiries and complaints
  • capability to prepare reports, business correspondence, proposals and sales reports
  • effective presentation and communication skills
  • mathematical skills to calculate costs, profit margins and other financial aspects

Job Duties

  • Increase sales volume by developing relationships with new and existing accounts
  • manage and maintain key client relationships
  • develop new business and maintain a robust sales pipeline
  • participate in industry organizations and local community to grow business
  • qualify leads and develop program strategies to achieve sales goals
  • collaborate with Experience Designers and Creative Team on proposals
  • conduct site inspections and build rapport with clients
  • finalize and close business deals, securing deposits and signed contracts
  • project and track program budgets using Salesforce
  • manage travel and marketing budgets for approval
  • initiate sales calls and follow ups
  • update clients and hoteliers on new venues and services through marketing strategies
  • provide client contact during programs
  • collaborate with Business Development and Event Producers to meet client expectations
  • ensure sales and gross profit goals are met
  • follow up on future opportunities and generate leads
  • stay current on industry trends and developments
  • educate Global Sales team on local market opportunities
  • implement and execute destination business and marketing plans
