Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in hotel sales or related management role
  • Ability to travel 2-4 days per week
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Outgoing and welcoming personality
  • Logical thinker with sound judgment
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions without supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Commitment to fair and consistent human resources practices
  • Knowledge of employment law compliance

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in hotel sales and sales management

  • Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting
  • Skilled in prospecting and client relationship management

Job Duties

  • Lead topline revenue of a portfolio of hotels
  • Manage all operations of the hotels' sales department
  • Provide leadership and strategic planning with all departments
  • Work closely with new and existing accounts
  • Serve as a coach, teacher and mentor for team members
  • Recruit, hire and cross-train individuals within the hotel
  • Establish and uphold operational structure, consistency, and employee morale
  • Understand and lead all reporting team members
  • Communicate thoroughly and effectively
  • Hold team members accountable focusing on performance and measurable results
  • Manage time effectively prioritizing duties
  • Maintain strong comprehension of financial aspects including P&Ls and budgeting
  • Assist in developing marketing plans, budgets and forecasts
  • Prospect, solicit, sell and qualify potential business opportunities
  • Manage room inventories and identify additional revenue opportunities
  • Lead and develop creative Sales and Marketing strategies
  • Utilize social media for community engagement and marketing strategies
  • Establish and contribute to new team goals
  • Conduct business with integrity and sound decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with human resources procedures and employment laws
  • Plan long term relating to company, market, and competition
  • Operate with entrepreneurial attitude and work ethic
  • Establish community relationships through networking groups and Chambers of Commerce
  • Travel as required for sales efforts, community engagement, trainings and conferences
