Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking experience required
- Valid food safety certification or ability to acquire
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures
- Basic math proficiency
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for long durations
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role
- Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- Ability to acquire food safety certification
- Basic math and counting skills
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
- Capability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Adapt duties to meet varying client requirements and operational needs
- Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
- Ready workstation with required tools and ingredients
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
- Safely use utensils including knives
- Operate appliances such as ovens, cookers, cutting machinery, and mixers
- Apply cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
- Portion cuisine according to established regulations
- Maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
- Maintain sanitary and germ-free work environment
- Deliver excellent customer service with a cheerful demeanor
- Comply with safety protocols including food safety and sanitation
- Maintain safety of organizational resources
