Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience required
  • Valid food safety certification or ability to acquire
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for long durations

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
  • Capability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Adapt duties to meet varying client requirements and operational needs
  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
  • Ready workstation with required tools and ingredients
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
  • Safely use utensils including knives
  • Operate appliances such as ovens, cookers, cutting machinery, and mixers
  • Apply cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • Portion cuisine according to established regulations
  • Maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
  • Maintain sanitary and germ-free work environment
  • Deliver excellent customer service with a cheerful demeanor
  • Comply with safety protocols including food safety and sanitation
  • Maintain safety of organizational resources
