Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior cooking experience
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
  • food safety certification (or ability to obtain)
  • strong communication skills
  • physical stamina for demanding tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or related role
  • knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • strong interpersonal communication skills
  • physical capability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Adapt duties to meet client and operational needs
  • prepare food following production instructions and standardized recipes
  • ready workstation with required tools and ingredients
  • measure, weigh, blend, cut, trim, and peel ingredients
  • safely use utensils and appliances including knives and ovens
  • apply cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • portion cuisine according to regulations
  • maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • ensure customer service excellence and positive interactions
  • comply with safety protocols and maintain resource safety
