Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum relevant cooking experience
  • capability to follow detailed recipes and safety protocols
  • valid food handler certification or ability to acquire certification
  • good communication skills
  • physical stamina for kitchen work
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or related role
  • knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • understanding of food safety regulations
  • ability to obtain food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing

Job Duties

  • Adapt duties to client requirements and Aramark operational needs
  • follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
  • ready workstation with required tools and ingredients
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
  • safely use kitchen utensils and appliances
  • utilize cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • maintain quality and safety of food through proper storage and sanitation
  • provide top-notch customer service with a cheerful demeanor
  • comply with Aramark safety and sanitation protocols
  • ensure safety of organizational resources
