Job Requirements

  • Experience as a cook or related role required
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or walking

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related culinary role
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and various cooking methods
  • Understanding of food safety regulations including proper handling, sanitation, and storage
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
  • Physical capability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
  • Ready the workstation with required tools and ingredients
  • Measure, weigh, blend, cut, trim, and peel food items accurately
  • Use utensils and kitchen appliances safely including knives, ovens, cookers, and mixers
  • Apply various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • Structure, enhance, and portion cuisine according to regulations
  • Maintain quality, safety, and proper storage of food following food safety policies
  • Keep work areas, utensils, and devices sanitary and germ-free
  • Deliver excellent customer service with a positive and approachable demeanor
  • Adhere to Aramark safety protocols emphasizing food safety and sanitation
  • Ensure the safety of organizational resources
