Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in a cook or culinary position
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification within a specified timeframe
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina required for kitchen environment
  • Willingness to adhere to Aramark safety and hygiene protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or related role
  • Knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • Understanding of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation, and storage
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Adapt duties and responsibilities to meet client and operational needs
  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes for diverse dishes
  • Prepare workstation with necessary tools and ingredients
  • Measure, weigh, blend, cut, trim, and peel food items
  • Safely use utensils including knives
  • Operate appliances such as ovens, cookers, mixers, and cutting machinery
  • Employ cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • Structure, enhance, and portion dishes according to regulations
  • Maintain food safety through proper storage
  • Ensure clean and sanitary work environment
  • Deliver excellent customer service with a cheerful demeanor
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation protocols
  • Protect organizational resources
